Frequently Asked Questions

Everything about licensing, pricing, delivery, and working together — all in one place.

Basic Lease ($79) includes MP3 + WAV with non-exclusive rights for up to 100,000 streams, basic usage rights, and tagged-free delivery. Pro Lease ($149, Most Popular) upgrades to WAV + individual stems, extends the stream cap to 500,000, and adds full commercial use, radio & sync readiness, and priority delivery. Unlimited Lease ($249) includes WAV + stems with unlimited streams, full usage rights, and commercial placement readiness. Exclusive ($500+) gives you full ownership with WAV + stems + session files, unlimited rights — the beat is permanently removed from the store.

Non-exclusive means other artists can also license the same beat for their projects. You still have the right to release and distribute music built on it — you just don't own the beat itself. If you need to be the only artist using it, go Exclusive.

Yes. Basic covers up to 100,000 total streams across all platforms combined. Pro extends that to 500,000. Unlimited has zero stream caps. Exclusive also has zero stream caps. If you exceed your tier's limit mid-release, you can upgrade — reach out and we'll sort it out without taking your release down.

The beat is permanently removed from the store the moment your exclusive license is confirmed. No other artist can ever license it again. You receive the full WAV master plus every individual trackout (stem), and you hold unlimited commercial rights including sync licensing, TV/film placements, and live performance.

Yes — if the beat was previously sold on Basic or Premium tiers, those artists retain their non-exclusive licenses even after your exclusive purchase. Your exclusive rights apply to all future licensing. If you need to be completely alone on a track, just ask upfront and we can confirm the beat's current license history before you commit.

Absolutely. We'll credit 100% of your original license payment toward the exclusive upgrade price. Just email with your order info and the beat title and we'll handle the transition — new files, updated agreement, and beat removal from the store — within 24 hours.

Your lease stays fully valid — nothing changes on your end. If you bought a Basic or Premium license before someone purchased exclusive rights, you keep every right your license granted you for as long as that license is active. The exclusivity only affects future sales from that point forward. The new exclusive buyer is aware that prior leases exist, and by purchasing they agree those licenses remain intact. Your release won't be taken down and you won't be asked to remove it.

Yes, you need to upgrade before you exceed your tier's limit — not after. Basic caps at 100K streams and Pro caps at 500K — Unlimited and Exclusive have no caps. Going over the limit without upgrading puts you technically outside your license terms. The good news: just reach out before you hit the wall and we'll sort the upgrade immediately. Your original payment is credited toward the higher tier. If you're already past the limit and didn't realize, contact us — we handle these situations fairly and won't be pulling your release down without warning.

Every license tier requires the production credit "Prod. by Machivelly" in your song title, description, and metadata on all platforms. The standard format is "Song Title (Prod. by Machivelly)". This applies to all lease tiers — Basic through Unlimited. For Exclusive licenses, the credit is still required on the release itself, but you have flexibility in how it appears (e.g., in liner notes vs. title) — just make sure it's visible somewhere on the release.

Basic and Pro leases cover independent distribution (DistroKid, TuneCore, CD Baby, etc.) and limited radio/media use. Unlimited adds full usage rights for commercial placement. If your project is being picked up by a larger label, distributor with sync sub-licensing rights, or pitched for TV/film/commercial placements, you need an Exclusive license. Labels and sync supervisors usually require exclusive ownership of the master, which a non-exclusive lease doesn't grant. If you're in talks with a label and need to clarify what's covered, reach out before you sign — we can sort the upgrade.

Yes — the producer (Machivelly) retains the publishing/writer share of the composition. What this means practically: if your song earns performance royalties (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC), the publishing split is typically 50% to you as the writer/artist and 50% to the producer as the composer. You own the master recording outright, have unlimited commercial rights, and can license the song freely. The only reserved portion is the underlying composition publishing share, which you cannot transfer.

License an existing beat from the store: Basic Lease is $79, Pro Lease is $149, and Unlimited Lease is $249. Each is a one-time payment with no recurring fees. For custom production built from scratch around your specs, pricing starts at $500+ depending on complexity, stems, and turnaround. Exclusive rights for existing beats start at $500+ — reach out for a custom quote and we will tailor the project to your budget.

Basic ($79) is perfect for a single or mixtape release — MP3 + WAV, 100K streams, non-exclusive, basic usage rights. Pro ($149, Most Popular) is the sweet spot for most artists — WAV + stems, 500K streams, full commercial use, radio & sync ready, priority delivery. Unlimited ($249) is for artists with serious momentum — unlimited streams, full rights, all formats, ready for commercial placement. Each tier clearly upgrades from the previous one without overlap or hidden costs.

Absolutely — the three tiers are starting points, not limits. If you need 2 beats with full stems and a commercial license, or 10 tracks mixed but no production, I'll put together a custom quote. Just hit the "Request a Custom Quote" link or send a message through the contact form. Most custom quotes are returned within a few hours.

Payments are handled securely through Stripe — all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), Apple Pay, and Google Pay are accepted. For larger projects or retainers, bank transfer can be arranged. All payments are processed upfront before work begins.

Every project ships with a 320kbps MP3 (for sharing/pitching), a 24-bit 48kHz WAV master (for distribution), and — on Professional and Platinum — a fully labeled stem folder with individual track bounces. Platinum clients also get an AIFF and a tagged promo version. Everything lands in a clean, organized Google Drive or WeTransfer link within your turnaround window.

Files are delivered to your email within 24 hours of your licensing request being confirmed. In most cases it's same-day. If you're on a tight deadline, mention it in your request and we'll prioritize your delivery — rush turnaround is usually under 2 hours.

Stems are individual audio exports of every element in the beat — drums, bass, melody, pads, FX, etc. — each as a separate file. You'd use them to remix the track, strip back elements for a live set, send to a separate mixing engineer, or fulfill a sync licensing requirement (most TV/film supervisors require stems). Stems are included in Professional and Platinum; they can be added to Starter as an upgrade.

Stems are included with Pro and Unlimited leases. Basic includes MP3 + WAV only — no stems. Exclusive includes WAV + stems + session files. If you need stems but are not ready for full exclusivity, Pro ($149) or Unlimited ($249) both include them. Ask via the contact form if you have specific stem requirements.

Starter includes 2 structured revision rounds — each round you send written notes or a voice memo and I return an updated version within 24–48 hours. Professional and Platinum both include unlimited revisions; the project stays open until you're 100% satisfied. There's no time limit on revisions, but to keep things moving I ask for consolidated feedback rather than one note at a time.

That's what revisions are for — just send detailed notes on what's not working: the energy feels off, the 808 is too loud, the melody needs to go darker, whatever it is. I'll address every point. If after revisions the direction still feels completely wrong, we can reset the brief and start a new direction at no extra charge. My goal is for you to walk away with something you're genuinely proud to release.

After booking you'll get a short intake form — genre, BPM range, mood, key (if you have one), any reference tracks on Spotify/YouTube, and your goals for the project. If you'd rather talk it through first, we can do a 15-minute call. The more detail you share upfront, the closer the first draft lands to what's in your head — I genuinely prefer clear briefs over vague ones.

The turnaround clock starts the moment I receive your completed brief, payment confirmation, and all reference tracks. Turnaround covers the first full draft — not the entire project. Revision rounds add 24–48 hours per round. If you need something sooner, let me know — rush slots are sometimes available depending on workload.

Yes. Custom production starts at $500 and includes a fully original beat built around your reference tracks, artist style, and target tempo/key. Every custom project comes with full stems, exclusive rights, and up to 3 revision rounds. Turnaround is typically 5–7 business days. Use the contact form or reach out on Instagram to get the process started.

After payment and brief confirmation, I start with a mood sketch or rough loop within 24 hours to make sure we're aligned on direction. Once you approve the concept, I build the full arrangement over 2–4 days. You get the first full draft for review, then we go into revisions. After final approval, I deliver the mastered files plus stems. You'll get updates at every stage — no ghosting.

Yes — custom projects are built entirely around your specs. Whether you need 140 BPM trap in F minor, 85 BPM R&B in A major, or something completely experimental, that's what the intake form is for. I also work with vocalists who have existing acapellas and need a beat constructed around their recorded performance.

Yes. For any tier that includes stems, I can also deliver alternate versions: a clean version (no explicit tags), a no-drums version (for acapella drops or live performances), an extended intro/outro version, or a tagged and untagged version. Just mention what you need in the brief. For exclusive projects, alternate versions are included at no extra cost.
